OUR COMMUNION PRACTICE

Today, we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion.  Today, by means of bread and wine, Jesus Christ gives Himself to each communicant.  This is His Word and promise.  We accept His Word.  If you are not a member of a Lutheran church, we ask you to speak to our pastors at any time about the meaning of Holy Communion and a person’s desire to receive it.  When we come to the altar.. we must come with believing and repentant hearts.  As we return.. we always bow or kneel in prayer in thanksgiving to God for what Jesus Christ has given unto us.

We do not practice the communion of children who are not instructed and confirmed, but the children may come to the altar rail for a family blessing.
