PROGRAM
Ruthfred Lutheran Nursery School offers small class sizes where learning is developmentally appropriate and intentionally planned to engage the whole child. Each month teachers focus on a topical unit and integrate language arts, math concepts, social sciences and music into the curriculum.
Social skills emphasized during class include: sharing, listening, practicing manners, taking turns, using thinking skills to solve conflicts, expressing needs and wants, and promoting positive relationships.
Spiritual values are taught through Bible verses, songs, Bible stories and prayer.
Daily classroom activities consist of: story time, calendar, snack, arts and crafts, singing, and outside play if weather permits. Our classroom keeps a consistent schedule to ease any anxiety that students may have about their first classroom experience.
